BOTOPASI EVENT
ARTCEB presents the BOTOPASI EVENT during AIRP2014, a week of concerts, workshops, talks and a soccer tournament. Because of protocol principles AIRP2014 has been interpreted differently in comparison with previous ARTCEB projects.

This year there is a collaboration with the famous Dutch Wind Ensemble (NBE). They performed at the coronation of King Willem Alexander and arranged the farewell concert of Princess Beatrix in Ahoy. This top orchestra will conduct two concerts in Botopasi on September 10 with 20 musicians. Those performances will be the climax and conclusion of the BOTOPASI EVENT on the main stage.

Niek Wijns, managing director of NBE and oboist and artistic director Bart Schneemann were in Botopasi on June 4, 2014 for several preparations. In September the NBE together with Surinamese musicians will conduct concerts in Paramaribo, Botopasi and Moengo. Coordinator in Botopasi: Isidoor Wens ARTCEB
