The artists will stay in this building.
Studio on the ground floor, living quarters on the first floor.
In front of the building an installaion is being made
on top of the remains of the family home,
which was burned by the military in 1986.

The first sculpture I made in the Botopasi outside working area
.
Fifteen villagers are moving the sculpture to its final position
at the Suriname riverbank.

To celebrate the first century of my hometown Botopasi
in Suriname I made this sculpture to commemorate all mothers.
The statue was placed in Botopasi overlooking the Suriname river.
