Member of Res Artis, the worldwide network of artist-residencies and residential art centers. ARTCEB is supported by the Sepu foundation and working closely together with artist run initiative ARTOTS (NL)

The villages are alongside the river. In Botopasi village is one of the airstrips.	Arrival at the Botopasi airstrip. You can travel to Botopasi by boat or by aeroplane.
Airport Botopasi 2010	The artists will stay in this building. Studio on the ground floor, living quarters on the first floor. In front of the building an installaion is being made on top of the remains of the family home, which was burned by the military in 1986.

The first sculpture I made in the Botopasi outside working area. Fifteen villagers are moving the sculpture to its final position at the Suriname riverbank. Title: Bhèma, 2000 wood 440 x 120 x 80 cm To celebrate the first century of my hometown Botopasi in Suriname I made this sculpture to commemorate all mothers.
