Vredeskerk Steenbergen: presentation and unveiling of the painting
'Levenspad'
Vredeskerk, Magnoliastraat 27, 4651 LC Steenbergen, Noord Brabant

...

Commissioned by the Vredeskerk (church of peace) Steenbergen I made a painting titled 'Levenspad'. In April 2003 it was presented to the churchboard by Jan van Laarhoven (manager of the Noordbrabants museum Den Bosch) and then together with Theo Sanders (pastor of this church) he reveiled the work.

Part of an article in the newspaper: Brabants Dagblad March 13th 2003:

"For the Vredeskerk in Steenbergen he made an enormous painting of 1,85 x 2,80 meter. The oil on canvas will be placed behind the altar. Various symbols can be seen in this work, such as light, the cross, the biblical number twelve and the Holy Trinity." By Mark van de Voort.

Announcement in De Stem, March 29th 2003
Part of the article:
According to the pastor one should have a beautifull present at one's 35th anniversary. In his opinion it's a religious and meditative work. He also said that the painting already arrived at the church and that Wens will be back to brace it."
