Dear Isidoor, Dear Maria,
thanks a lot for the invitation to be workshopleader at the ARTOTS workshop week. I really loved to work in these days and the setting created by you. It was a challange and a good one. So having seen the brains work of the participants and deteciting their movement out of their usual positioning in the field, I was very happy with the process and happy that the participants were also :)
And we should definitely meet in the near future and evaluate these days.
Ah, and I would be very happy if I could have the fotos that were made during the workshop... and I should give you the ones I made also... :)

Beste Isidoor,
Ik zal je proberen een idee te geven hoe ik de laatste dagen heb ervaren.
Het is niet eenvoudig in enkele woorden te vatten, omdat het proces van ons samenzijn nog steeds
in mijn lichaam door resoneert en ik nog geen vinger kan leggen op wat dit precies voor mij heeft betekent.
Maar dan toch enkele woorden:
Intens en bijzonder.
Verrijkend, leerzaam.
Open en eerlijk.
Uit Dogma 2005 explained to children;
step twenty six: Yes this project has to leave a mark on you, in fact, and forever.
vragen stellen altijd vragen stellen, ondertussen ontstaan duizenden opties.
Have no mysteries, reveal.
Het duurde enkele uren vandaag voordat ik weer aankwam in de alledaagse wereld.
Ik heb haar niet gemist.
Ik zal vanaf nu de theorie, de experimenten, de gedachten, de gesprekkenin de alledaagse wereld proberen te verwerken.
Yes, this project left a mark on me.

Workshop Performance Art..
Practicing, learning and thinking about performance art, and most of all; a lot of discussion. It was another approach and a new experience for me to deal with performing, no performance art, in this way. It felt like a trip to a strange place; an eye-opener, thanks to great teachers and very motivated participants. I really enjoyed the full programm, even the chaos or 'fluid' time- schedule. Ingo is a great coach and very inspiring to learn from his approach to performance art. how he analyses work/ ideas, asking questions, however with a lot of respect for people, that was really motivating for me. I feel he made me step out my 'dancing-background' and open up other possibilities; very welcome at this moment...also seeing other people dealing, sometimes struggling, with this subject and reflecting together made it a rich experience. How wonderful to learn something about other people's thoughts and feelings on their work. |
5 Days of intensive workshops, for my feeling non-stop. It was a lot: a performance art shower. There could be some more structure, especially some free time in between working sessions. On the other hand i also liked the feeling of being on a moving train, not able to get out... I missed some time at the end of the workshop, after the performances and seminar in Verkade. No time to really talk and feel the relief of being finished. Also Ihave some questions on the programming around the theme of 'urban diversity'. Ah well, it doesn't really compare with all the things I get from participating in this workshop. Thanks ISsidoor for being our host!
